Texas Wine Revolution this Sunday: Like Your Texas Wine Hot and Pink?

According to the Wine Enthusiast, consumers the world over have finally caught on to Rosé – they are not only pink but HOT with consumers. Consumption of premium dry rosé is growing rapidly, led by the wines of Provence. Having followed the wine trends in Texas, I can say that both consumption and production of Rosé wines in Texas has been on fire here, too. Why? Texas like Provence along the Mediterranean coast is known for its warm climate. What better way to ameliorate HOT, but with PINK! Additionally, the grapes that just seem to want to grow here in Texas are those that originated around the Mediterranean – Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Tempranillo and Sangiovese and all make great rosés.

Want to see what I mean, take a drive this Sunday and show up at the Texas Wine Revolution festival held at Featherstone Ranch, 870 Klein Rd, Stonewall, Texas. This year’s festival will showcase the beauty of Texas grown Rosé wines and specifically those made from 100% Texas grown grapes.

This is a unique event will feature up to 25+ Texas wineries, winemakers, and their 100% Texas grown Rosé. The afternoon will include tastings, live music, local food purveyors, VIP seminars and picnic areas for guests on a picturesque Hill Country ranch. Celebrate with us and meet local wineries, winemakers, farmers, and chefs for an awakening and education of Real Texas Wine.

Texas Wine Revolution is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting consumer education and awareness of Texas grown wines. To achieve our purpose, the Texas Wine Revolution festival was created in 2016 and will continue to be an annual event devoted to endorsing Texas grown wines by showcasing Texas wineries, winemakers, vineyards, farmers, chefs, Texas cuisine, and the wine industry.

Love to taste, talk and tweet about Texas wines and where they are in the global scheme for wines. After all that's the only way they will reach the full potential.
