Here is a message from Pablo Valqui at Gourmet Tours
Hello to all…
Over the last month or so I have been working with the owners of a local wine bar in Tomball, TX, on putting together an event that could boost the reputation of Texas wine in the Houston market. We picked top Texas wineries whose wines are not sold in the Houston marketplace or have very little presence here. Only wines with 100% grapes counted for entry into this market.
The date for the Texas Bluebonnet Wine Market Tasting is 12 to 4p CT on January 20, 2024, at 204 Commerce Street, Tomball, Texas.
We asked wineries to bring more unusual grapes than the common Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, etc. but that ARE unusually good for growing and making wine in the Texas climate.
For those that have never been to Tomball or rarely go, there is an interesting food scene around town. If you plan to come on the later part of the tasting or before lunch I can recommend some places to eat at while you are there. Contact Pablo at: pablo@gourmettours.biz.
The wineries at the market will be pouring four or five wines each. Attendees will pay $30 to enter, but will get a commemorative wine glass and a $20 credit towards the first bottle purchase. There are only 120 tickets to besold. So if you are interested, I suggest buying your tickets.
