Two Houston stores host tasting of limited-time-only deals from 2009 vintage

WHAT: Whole Foods Market Twitter Tasting of Bordeaux Wines

Whole Foods Market invites shoppers and wine enthusiasts to participate in its second Twitter Tasting on Friday, Mar. 11. From 6-7 p.m. CST, national wine buyers Doug Bell and Geof Ryan will taste four Bordeaux wines that will be featured for two months at Whole Foods Market stores, providing tasting notes and insights about the wineries and winemakers via their Twitter feed: twitter.com/WFMWineGuys. National cheese buyer Cathy Strange will also offer her picks for the perfect cheeses to enjoy alongside the wines.

Featured wines paired with cheese include:

• Château Magence Graves Blanc paired with Ossau Iraty or P’tit Basque

• Château Le Touzinard Bordeaux Rouge paired with Comté

• Château La Fleur Dallon Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux Rouge paired with Hervé Mons Lavort de Chèvre

• Château Picau-Perna Saint-Émilion Rouge paired with Seaside Cheddar or Cabot Clothbound Cheddar

In-store Tasting for Shoppers to Follow Twitter Fun

Two locations: The 11145 Westheimer Road, Houston and 15900 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, stores will pour the four featured wines and sample cheeses that accompany those wines on Mar. 11 from 6-7 p.m. CST.
