Attending the 29^th Annual Gulf Coast Winegrowers Association Field Day just got easier. The 2021 Field Day, postponed in February due to Covid 19 was rescheduled for May 7 and will be held from 8am – 3:30pm at the Cat Spring Agricultural Society Hall, 13035 Hall Rd, Cat Spring TX.  It features educational sessions presented by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.  There will be sessions of benefit to both novice and commercial wine grape growers as well as exhibitors displaying and talking about many of the primary components and tools needed for successful grape growing.  

Interested in planting a new commercial or small scale personal vineyard \?  You will not want to miss the New & Prospective Winegrower Session presented by Fran Pontasch to start the day.  Other sessions include:  What Happens to a Pruning Wound (Dr. David Appel), Optimizing Wine Quality in the Vineyard, (Dr. Andrea Botezatu), Fertilizing Damaged Vines (Dr. Justin Scheiner), Potential Impact from Viruses (Dr. Femi Alabi and Sheila McBride), IPM – Traditional & Biological Pesticides (Jim Kamas) and a Gulf Coast Status & Predictions Panel Discussion. 

Registration fee for ON-LINE (virtual) attendance is $25 for GCWA members and $35 for non-members.

Registration for IN-PERSON attendance is $35 for GCWA members and $40 for non-members.  

Lunch is included for IN-PERSON attendees.
