#TXWine Twitter Tuesdays Re-Starting on Tuesday March 24th at 7-8 pm – Support your Texas Wineries…

…We’re Getting the Band Back Together, Again!

Howdy Texas wine friends!

These are undoubtedly difficult and stressful times with the Texas governor ordering Texas tasting rooms and many other facilities closed, which means many of us will miss visiting our favorite wineries and getting together to share a glass of wine. Our Texas wine community is a close one and we want to keep it that way.

Serious times like these require serious measures. Just like in the words of John Belushi in the Blues Brothers movie after seeing a light from above (Click to watch TubeTube video clip), “We’re gonna get the band back together again!” This includes our old gang of high power #TXwine tweeters Denise Clarke, Jeff Cope, Russ Kane, and Matt McGinnis, AND we invite you to join us for the resurrection of our #TXwine Twitter Tuesdays.

#TXWine Twitter Tuesdays start this coming Tuesday, March 24th at 7-8 pm. so all of us Texas wine aficionados can all gather (virtually of course), share what’s in your glass, and rally our Texas wineries through these troubling times.

IMPORTANT: All you have to do is log into Twitter, follow the #TXWine hashtag and share one of your favorite Texas wines. You can also post a photo, that would be nice. You can also share a special #TXwine moment with this Twitter group.

Let’s support our Texas wineries – pick up some wines from your local retailer, order directly from Texas wineries or open your wine cooler. Then, join us this coming Tuesday night at 7-8 pm and the following Tuesdays over the coming weeks. We will have a different theme each week – feel free to share any ideas with us that you have for future #TXwine Twitter Tuesdays!

We might be self-quarantining, but we want to stay in touch with our growing Texas wine family. Follow our lead tweeters on TWitter : Russ Kane (me) @VintageTexas, Denise Clarke @DeniseClarkeTX, Jeff Cope @TXwinelover, Matt McGinnis @MattMcGinnis. It will be a full-on Twitter tasting!

If you are also involved with social media on Instagram and care to expand the event’s reach even further, you can cross-post some of your tweets and pics on Instagram.

Here are a few suggestions from Jeff Cope:

If you are new to Twitter, here’s how you participate: just sign up for a free Twitter account at twitter.com. You can also use a Twitter chat website like  http://www.tchat.io/rooms/txwine. No registration is required; you can login using your Twitter account info. In TChat, participants are invited to follow tweets, add comments or tasting notes, and share thoughts as participants taste and discuss the wines. The hashtag #TXwine will automatically be added. If you are using another platform for tweeting, make sure you add #TXwine to your tweets.

Love to taste, talk and tweet about Texas wines and where they are in the global scheme for wines. After all that's the only way they will reach the full potential.
