CapRock Winery Reserve Cabernet featured in Academy Award® Party Gift Bags as Part of SPCA Benefit

It’s not everyday (or any day) you expect to be able to use the words “Texas wine” and  “the Academy Awards” in the same sentence. Well this year you can!

There will be a Texas flavor to one of the key Oscar parties this year. Every year actors, actresses, and assorted celebrities hit the pre‐Academy Awards® parties to mix, mingle, and pick up swag.

One of the biggest parties is held each year by Secret Room Events. This year their event is taking place on February 26, 2010 for the nominees, celebrities, stylists, press and media. This event will benefit the SPCA of LA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Partial proceeds will be given and celebrities will be asked to sign a gift bag to be auctioned off to benefit SPCA of LA. This event will take place in Beverly Hills at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire Hotel off of the famous Rodeo Drive.

Among the gifts in the gift bags this year will be a bottle of CapRock Winery Reserve Cabernet.

According to CapRock general manager Phillip Anderson, “It was an easy decision to agree to provide wine to the event. It is a worthy cause and it is always nice to get our wine out to a broader audience.”
