Wine Evaluations and Reviews

Over the years, a large number of wineries in Texas, Georgia, other states and various international wine regions have asked us to evaluate their wines and, if we are pleased, publish a story.

Three of several benchmark Sparklers evaluated and reviews

To request this activity, please contact us at russ@vintagetexas.com with your details.

If a story is warranted, we will need the following:

1. Samples of each wine (one 750 ml bottle per wine).

2. Tech sheets that detail the wine, the grapes and winemaking for the particular vintage(s) involved.

3. High resolution photos, life style photos preferred rather than bottle shots.

4. Link to the winery’s website and related social media account information.

5. Suggested retail price.

6. A description of the markets for purchase (either direct from winery or commercial areas or locations where the wine in available).

Submitters of wine samples will receive an evaluation of the wine(s). However, evaluation of wine sample(s) does not guarantee publication of a story by VintageTexas. Stories are written at the discretion of VintageTexas.

Stories written by VintageTexas usually include:

1. Background information on the grape varieties or blends and history of the vineyard/winery or grape growing region.

2. Limited details on the wines, harvest conditions, and winemaking process.

3. Evaluation of the wine(s) including: wine characteristics, food pairing ideas, suggest retail price, rating (x/100), aging potential, and suggestions where the wine appears to fit into the marketplace.

What you get…

Submitters have the right to provide feedback to VintageTexas and suggest limited edits.  They can use the VintageTexas Internet link to access the stories and post it to social media sites. They are also able to utilized the information on their website(s) with acknowledgement to VintageTexas.com.
