Shout Out to Texas Wineries that Garnered Medals at the 2010 San Francisco International Wine Competition
The 2010 San Francisco International Wine Competition, the largest, most influential international wine competition in America, was judged by a prestigious panel of nationally recognized wine experts. Judging was based on a blind, consensual procedure, ensuring competitive integrity as it remains the nation’s most respected wine competition. The results for Texas wineries are given below, listed by winery. A total of 18 medals were awared to these wineries. Special recognition goes to Duchman Estate Winery’s 2008 Dolcetto (Texas) that was awarded a Double Gold Medal, and to Lone Oak Winery’s 2008 Tempranillo (Texas High Plains) awarded a Gold Medal. It’s high time to try some high quality Texas wines. Let’s give out a loud whoop for these wineries that are leading the charge for wine quality in Texas.
