Want to be automatically notified when new postings are made to the VintageTexas.com blog? Please click on the RSS icon on the upper right side of your screen on the MS Internet Explorer tool bar. The icon looks like a small red box with white radio waves moving up from bottom left to top right. If you click on the icon, it will add link with Outlook and send emails to a folder located there. Other browsers and RSS feed reader programs (e.g. Google Reader, etc.) work a little different but in a simialr manner.
This capability can give you access to new posts on the main page, specific topics and responses by readers to comments.
What is RSS? It means: “Rich Site Summary” or “Really Simple Syndication” depending on who you talk to.
The VintageTexas.com blog is powered with WordPress software. The RSS 1.0 (aka RDF), RSS 2.0 and ATOM specifications are fully supported by WordPress, and what’s more, just about any page on this weblog has an associated feed so that readers can subscribe.
There’s a feed for the latest posts, for categories, comments, well, like we said earlier, for anything you want. The more options readers have to keep track of different sections of the blog, the easier it is to spread the word on Texas wine, food and related topics.
RSS feed is as easy as a click on the “RSS” icon at the top right side of the page. You will not receive any other content or spam…..promise.
