The Go Texan Restaurant Round-Up

The Go Texan Restaurant Round-Up – October 1, 2008

Chef Elmar Prambs

Celebrating the menus of the Lone Star State while helping Texans
in need…..

Establishments that are members of the Texas Department of
Agriculture’s GO TEXAN Restaurant Program can sign up to
participate in the GO TEXAN Restaurant Round-Up on
Oct. 1, 2008.

On that day — the first day of Texas Wine Month — participating
establishments may commit to give patrons a special Texas dining
experience and pledge to donate a portion of meal proceeds to a
local food bank.

Dinners can savor the fresh taste of fare from right here in the
Lone Star State. Support restaurants in your area that are
committed to serving ingredients from local farmers, ranchers
and producers. From shrimp to vegetables, from wine to artisan
cheeses, if it’s from Texas it’s the freshest and most flavorful
it can be.
